Stephenville

It is with great sadness that the family of the late Alice Piercey announce her passing on Saturday, May 8, 2010 at Sir Thomas Roddick Hospital in Stephenville, at the age of 94 years. She leaves to mourn with loving memories, her family: Reg (Marcie) Piercey, Vicki (Kevin) Costello, Louise (Derek) Brown, Ruby (Ted) Felix, Shirley Schumph, Gloria Benoit, Betty (Hughie) Drover, Helen Piercey, Margaret Piercey, 37 grandchildren, 57 great-grandchildren, 13 great-great-grandchildren, special companions: Angelina Brown, Audrey Penton, Doris Newman, Elizabeth Stagg, Donna Carter, as well as a large circle of other relatives and friends. She was predeceased by her parents, John and Hannah Brothers; her husband, Arch; daughter and son-in-law, Nettie and Harrison Courage; sons: Wallace and Kevin; sons-in-law: Adrian Schumph and Gordon Benoit. Visitation took place at Russell's Funeral Home, 57 Prince Rupert Drive, Stephenville, on Monday, May 10th from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Funeral service will be held on Tuesday, May 11th at 2:00 p.m. at the Zion Pentecostal Church, Carolina Avenue, Stephenville, with Pastor Moral Best officiating. Cremation will follow the service and interment will take place at the Hillside Interfaith Cemetery at 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday, May 12th. As expressions of sympathy, donations may be made to the Bay St. George Long Term Care Centre.
