1925 - 2010 - Sifroid Cormier, 84 of Bouctouche passed away peacefully on Wednesday, June 23rd 2010 at the Stella Maris de Kent Hospital, Sainte-Anne de Kent. He was married to Edna (Caissie) Cormier. Born in Cap-Pelé on July 16th, 1925, he was the son of the late Alphonse and the late Mathilde (Landry) Cormier. Sifroid worked for many years at the Deluxe French Fries in Moncton, and was a veteran of the Korean War with the Canadian Army from 1951 to 1953. He will be sadly missed by his wife Edna, two daughters, Diane and Claudette and one son Gerald of Bouctouche, grandchildren, and great grandchildren. He also leaves to mourn him, his three half-sisters, Rose, Donalda, Fernande, three half-brothers, René, Valerie, Arcade and several nephews and nieces. He was predeceased by one daughter Diana and four sisters, Olivine, Norma, Lorraine and Marguerite, and one half-sister Deliah.
Visitation will be held at Maillet Funeral Home, 29 rue de l'église, Bouctouche on Sunday, June 27th, 2010 from 7 to 9 and on Monday from 9 to 10:45 am. Funeral Mass will be held at the Saint-Jean Baptiste Roman Catholic Church, Bouctouche on Monday, June 28th, 2010 at 11:00 am. Internment will be in the parish cemetery.
