Suddenly at her home on Tuesday, Sept. 14, 2010, of Josephine Mary Chaisson of 284 Maple Street, Tignish, and formerly of Ascension, P.E.I., aged 85 years. Beloved wife of the late Isidore J. Chaisson. Born on Dec. 12, 1925, she was the daughter of the late George and Regina (nee Gallant) Doucette. Lovingly remembered by her children: Catherine (Frank) Doucette of Brampton, Ont.; Urban (Verna) of Montague; Marie (Al) Perry of Toronto; Joe (Elizabeth) of Charlottetown; Cecilia (Reg) Gallant of Rustico; Timmy of Tignish; Linda (Omar) Chaisson of Tignish; Syke (Mary Richard) of Tignish; Betty (Ron) Arsenault of Toronto; Norma (Doug) Hinder of Toronto; Nancy (Robert) Doucette of Tignish; Ben (Mary) of Charlottetown; and Joey (Heidi) of Palmer Road. She is also survived by 29 grandchildren, 31 great-grandchildren, and one great-great-grandchild. Dear sister to Marie (late Charles) McRae of Tignish; Ann (Carl) Dunsome of St. Felix; George (Theresa) of St. Felix; Norman (Hilda) of St. Felix; and Manny (Tillie) of Brampton, Ont. She was predeceased by her grandson Dereck and by her sisters and brothers, Dolly, Lena, Leona, Leslie and Guillaume. Resting at the Rooney Funeral Home, Alberton, for visiting hours Friday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Funeral on Saturday morning from St. Simon and St. Jude Roman Catholic Church, Tignish, for funeral mass at 10:30 a.m. Interment in the church cemetery. As an expression of sympathy memorials to the Arthritic Society would be gratefully appreciated.
