The death occurred peacefully at the Riverview Manor, Montague, on October 5, 2010, of Cecil James McInnis, formerly of Peakes Road, age 87.
Born in Peakes on May 26, 1923. He was the son of the late Rupert and Pearl (McLeay) McInnis. Survived by sisters Marion Curley, Toronto; Ann Handrahan, Peakes; sisters-in-law Rita McInnis, Peakes; Noreen McInnis, Montague. Cecil was also a special uncle to numerous nephews, nieces and their families.
Predeceased by sister Josie and brother-in-law Edward Poliquin; brothers Elmer and Frank; brothers-in-law Joe Curley and Mike Handrahan.
Transferred from the Jenkins Funeral Home to the lounge of St. Cuthbert's Church, St. Theresa, for visiting hours Friday, October 8, 2010 from 6-9 p.m. Funeral service on Saturday, October 9, 2010, at 10:30 am.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations to the St. Cuthbert's Cemetery Fund would be appreciated.
