SURETTE, Elizabeth (Betty) Jean - 60, Sluice Point, NS, and originally of Saint Alphonse, passed away peacefully at Yarmouth Regional Hospital with family by her side. Born August 16, 1950, she was the daughter of the late Bernadette (Comeau) and the late William Saulnier. She is survived by two daughters, Heather (Gary) Melanson and Charlene (Troy) Pitman, and step-daughter Debbie Kaizer (Tim German). She also loved and was dearly loved by her two grandchildren, Olivia Melanson and Brandon Pitman. She was also the sister of the late Norma (Fred) Comeau. Also surviving are her brothers, Eddie (Dorothy) Saulnier, Billy (Gloria) Saulnier, Roy (Elaine) Saulnier, and Ulysse (Rita, deceased) Saulnier. She worked at the Municipality of Argyle in Tusket for many years, and due to her illness, was forced to retire early. A very special thank you to the staff at Yarmouth Regional Hospital, as well as the V.O.N. branch in Tusket/Yarmouth. Cremation took place and there was no visitation by request. The service took place at Église Sainte Famille in Amirault's Hill on Wednesday, December 8 at 10:30 a.m., Father Maurice LeBlanc, c.j.m., officiated. Interment took place in the parish cemetery. Memorial donations may be made to the Nova Scotia Arthritis Society or to the Tri-County Branch of the V.O.N.
