Pauline Erme peacefully passed away at home surrounded by her loving family.
She dedicated her life to caring for her family and always put their needs ahead of her own. She grew up in Cape Breton, N.S. and was well known in Cape Breton as the island’s chiropodist for more than 20 years. She then moved with her loved ones to Ontario where she worked in Sarnia at Zellers. After retiring she devoted herself to meeting the needs of her family and friends.
Beloved wife of Tim Erme. Loving mother of Raylene (Wilfred) Ramsay, Douglas (Deianna) Mackwood, Andrea Carson, Leone (Robert) Mackwood, Eric Erme and Richard (Rena) McNamara. Cherished grandmother of Brian, Laura, Annelise, Maria, Matthew, Micheal, Cole and great-grandmother of Antonio. Dear sister of Al Cormier (Gisele) and sister-in-law of Katherine Cormier.
Predeceased by her parents, Paul and Marie Cormier; sister, Leone Cormier and brothers John, Ernest and Leonard.
A memorial mass will be celebrated on Monday, April 11, 2011 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, 1465 Lecaron, at 11 a.m. with the interment of ashes following the service at Resurrection Cemetery, Sarnia. Cremation has taken place.
Sympathy may be expressed through donations to the V.O.N., St. Joseph's Hospice or the Canadian Cancer Society (cheques only at the funeral home please).
