1921-2011. Passed peacefully away after a short illness at the Salvation Army Glenbrook Lodge, April 15, 2011. Predeceased by his wife Pauline, parents Arthur and Dorcas, brothers Frank, Augustus and Robert, sisters Nina Hudson, Irene and Clara. Left with fond and loving memories, son Harris (Catherine) of St. John’s, N.L.; daughters Shirley Smith (Bernard) of Sydney, Australia and Brenda Marsh (Willis) of Port Alberni, B..C; grandchildren: Amy Flight, Selina, Sacha and Justin Smith, Joseph, Angela and Alexander Marsh; five great-grandchildren, also remembered by sisters: Miriam Vey and Mildred Moores, as well as his friends from the Salvation Army Glenbrook Lodge. At Chester’s request cremation has taken place. Visitation at Carnell’s Funeral Home, 329 Freshwater Road on Saturday, April 16, 2011 from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Service will be held from the Carnell Memorial Chapel on Sunday, April 17, 2011 at 2 p.m. Interment will take place at a later date.
