Schubert, William “Bill” - 76, Oxford, passed away with family by his side Wednesday, September 27, 2017 in Cumberland Regional Health Care Centre, Amherst. Born in Springhill, he was a son of the late William and Alfreda (Denbenskie) Schubert. Bill was a licensed fourth class stationary engineer and worked with Gordon’s Greenhouses until his retirement due to ill health. He was predeceased by his first wife, the former Patricia Allen; second wife, the former Muriel Crossman. He is survived by stepdaughters, Marilyn Thompson, Lillian (Richard) Hurley and Rosalie (Rod) Byers; brothers, Dennis (Rosemary), Charles, Eddie (Gloria) and Wayne (Marjorie), and their extended families; several grandchildren and great-grandchildren. He will be missed by many friends and neighbours, as well as Patches, he and Mum’s long time companion. He was very appreciative of the kind and compassionate care and encouragement shown to him at both Cumberland Regional Health Care Centre All Saints Hospital, Springhill.
