With sadness we regret the passing of Gordon Christie MacKenzie at Alderwood Guest Home, Baddeck on March 25, 2018.
Born July 15, 1919 the son of the late Adam and Agnes (MacLeod) MacKenzie at Boularderie Centre.
Gordon spent his working years as a farmer, Mate on Ross’ Ferry and Canadian National Railway North Sydney and Sydney.
He was a lifetime member of Drummond Memorial United Church serving as Elder and other committees of the church!
Survived by daughters, Muriel (Harry Winter) MacGregor, Middle Sackville, NS and Agnes (Shane) MacFarlane, Baddeck, NS; grandchildren, Paula (Paul) Webster, U.K., Scott MacGregor, NB, Derek (Laura) MacFarlane, Brenda MacFarlane, Baddeck, Mel MacFarlane, Hamilton, ON; great-grandchildren, Samara and Kaleb MacGregor, Ottawa, Paige and Kenzie MacFarlane, Baddeck; sister-in-law, Wilma Tofuri, Boston; several nieces and nephews.
Predeceased by parents; wife, Catherine (MacDonald) MacKenzie; brothers, David, Donald and Murray MacKenzie and son-in-law, David MacGregor.
The family wish to express their grateful thanks to Alderwood Guest Home for the love and care provided to Gordon during the last two years.
There will be no visitation by request and funeral arrangements are incomplete at this time and will be announced at a later date.
