LeBLANC (GAUDET), Edith Mary – passed away peacefully at home on Monday, September 10, 2018 with family at her side. Born January 7, 1924 in Melbourne, she was the daughter of the late René and Adeline (Boudreau) Gaudet. In her younger years she was a school teacher, and then became a full-time wife and mother. She is survived by sons, Steve, Alberta; Donald (Rebecca) and Tom (Anne), both of Melbourne; Peter, Dartmouth; Ted (Mary-Lou), Wedgeport; David, Melbourne; Eric (Donna), Pleasant Lake; daughters, Cathy (Morton), Melbourne; Lucie (Glen), Hebron; Helen (Larry) Brannen, Chegoggin. She is also survived by 19 grandchildren and 20 great grandchildren. Aside from her parents she was predeceased by her husband, Wilburn; infant son, Delbert; grandson, David; granddaughter, Melissa and a brother, Oliver. As per her request, cremation has taken place. Visitation took place from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Friday with prayers at 8 p.m. at H.M. Huskilson’s Funeral Home, 29 Albert St., Yarmouth. The funeral Mass was held at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, September 15 from Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church, Melbourne, Father Pat O’Meara officiated. Interment followed in the parish cemetery. Reception took place at Club Lestantue in Pinkney’s Point. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to a charity of your choice.
