MOULAISON, Adelta L. “Delta” – age 102, Nakile Home for Special Care, Argyle, formerly of Amirault’s Hill, Yarmouth Co., passed away peacefully on Sunday, November 25, 2018 in the home. Born October 23, 1916 in Amirault’s Hill, she was a daughter of the late Eugene and Emilie A. “Millie” (Muise) Meuse. Delta was a homemaker, having also worked at Zellers for 14 years. In years past, she enjoyed going on bus tours and knitting, but she will most certainly be remembered as a fabulous baker and cook, especially when it came to the needs of fellow members of the community, who will fondly remember her lemon-filling cakes. She enjoyed getting dressed-up and always completed the look with beautiful earrings and lipstick. While they still could, she and her sister Emelinne loved to go watch line-dancing. Delta is survived by her loving children, Franklyn (Carol) Moulaison, Eileen (Nelson) Surette, both of Amirault’s Hill and Cora (Yvon) Brossard of Yarmouth, as well as by a daughter-in-law, Ruth Surette, Arcadia and grandchildren, Warren, Glenn, Maureen, Annette, Noelle, Vanessa, Tammie and Ian; great grandchildren, Claude, André, Noah, Sarah, Rocher, Ange, Luc, Sophie, Mia, Alyre and Anik; Millie’s daughter, Rebecca Corporon. Aside from her parents, Delta was predeceased by her husband, Stanley J. Moulaison Sr.; her son, Stanley Moulaison Jr.; son-in-law, Ray Panter; a granddaughter, Priscilla; brothers, Daniel, Eugene “Gene” and Benedict Meuse; sisters, Isabelle Bourque, Juliette Doucet, Angeline Amirault, Celina Surette, Olivette Sudsbury and Emelinne Frotten and special family member, Millie Bourque. There was no visitation in accordance with Delta’s wishes. A funeral Mass was held on Friday, November 30 at 10:30 a.m. from Holy Family Catholic Church, Amirault’s Hill, Father Maurice LeBlanc officiated. Cremation followed under the direction of H.M. Huskilson’s Funeral Home and Crematorium, Yarmouth and interment took place in the parish cemetery. It was requested that there be family flowers only.
