John Seville

Passed on: April 19th, 2019

It is with the heaviest of hearts that we announce the tragic passing of our super hero, John Seville, age 50, on Friday, April 19, 2019. John was a loving son, husband, father, brother, uncle and friend. Born January 23, 1969, in London, ON, he was the son of Brian and Pamela (Kell) Seville.
For over 15 years, John worked at the Fortress of Louisbourg and most recently worked for Canada Post in North Sydney for the last 13 years. He will be remembered as a family man, a man who always thought of others first and served as the roots and foundation of our family. John had the most comforting presence and always made everyone feel welcome. Our home will never be the same without his bright smile.
After a long and courageous battle with depression, when the pain became unbearable, John had to find peace. We will miss him and hold him close in our hearts. We love you papa.
John is survived by his parents, Brian and Pamela Seville, Little Pond; wife, Julie (Gardiner) Seville; three daughters, Kandace, Allie and Kaylee; the son he always wanted, Shawn MacVicar (Natasha); two sisters, Janet Seville (Larry) and Karen Murphy (Ron); brother, Peter Seville; special nephew, Joey Seville, as well as many nieces and nephews.
We would like to thank Joseph McCarthy and Jason Ford for helping us through this difficult time.
Visitation will take place at Sydney Memorial Chapel on Friday, April 26 from 6-8 p.m. Funeral service will be held in the chapel on Saturday, April 27 at 2 p.m., with Mr. Gary Grant officiating. Interment will take place at a later date.
Memorial donations may be made to the Cape Breton Regional Hospital Foundation, Mental Health.
Words of comfort can be sent to the family at www.sydneymemorialchapel.ca or e-mail sydneymemorialchapel@ns.sympatico.ca.
