Frances Street
Frances, 85, passed away peacefully on Saturday April 27, 2019 at Cape Breton Regional Hospital, Sydney, NS.
She was the daughter of the late Farquhar John “F.J.” and Georgina Margaret (MacKay) MacCharles.
Frances was a member of Knox Presbyterian Church, Former Board Member of; Royal Canadian Legion, Branch 53, Baddeck, Bras d’Or Yacht Club, Baddeck Minor Hockey Association and Baddeck Homecare Support. She was employed by Dr. Bill Coleman, then at Alderwood Rest Home until she retired.
She is survived by her son, Scott (Kimberlee) Street; grandchildren, Troy Street, Aurora, Lillawhin, and Riller Lay-Street; great-grandchildren, Curtis, Stewart and Piper.
Besides her parents Frances was predeceased by her sister, Angie Edna MacCharles.
Visitation will be held at Knox Presbyterian Church, Grant Street, Baddeck Wednesday, May 1, 2019 from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m.
Funeral service will also be held at Knox Presbyterian Church on Thursday, May 2, 2019 at 1 p.m. with Rev. Brian MacLeod officiating. Burial to follow in Greenwood Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Bras d’Or Yacht Club Sailing Program or Branch 53 of the Royal Canadian Legion, Baddeck. Funeral arrangements under the direction of MacAskill Funeral Home, Baddeck, NS
