Donald Lloyd Rowe
With tears in our eyes and love in our hearts, we, the family, announce the passing of our dear father, grandfather, great-grandfather and husband, Donald Lloyd Rowe on Sunday, April 28, 2019, surrounded by his loving family.
Born July 5, 1931, in Sydney, Donald worked at the Sydney Steel Plant for 50 years as a bricklayer and bricklayer foreman. He loved gardening, old movies, dancing and listening to music.
Donald is survived by his children, Nancy (Ed) Brusdeilins, Sydney, Karen (Paul) Leterte, Grand Mira South and Kelly (Shauna) Rowe, Sydney; and many grandchildren and great-grandchildren. He is also survived by his sister, Jean Townsend and sister-in-law, Marion Stanovie, as well as many nieces and nephews.
Besides his dear wife, Theresa, he was predeceased by his parents, Marcus and Carrie (Pinhorn) Rowe; his in-laws; daughter, Susan; and great-granddaughter, Morgan MacKay.
Thank you to the staff of 4 North at the Glace Bay General Hospital.
Visitation will take place at Sydney Memorial Chapel, Thursday, May 2nd from 3-4 p.m., followed by a service in the chapel at 4 p.m., with Mr. Gary Grant officiating. Interment in Hardwood Hill Cemetery at a later date.
Memorials may be made to a charity of your choice.
