The death occurred peacefully at Le Chez-Nous, Wellington, with her family by her side of Marie Irène (Gallant) Arsenault, formerly of St. Chrysostome, on Thursday, March 22, 2012, in her 97th year. Daughter of the late Glorice and Baselice Gallant. She was predeceased by her husband Théodore Arsenault. Irène was born in Egmont Bay on March 7, 1915. She is survived by children Gerard (Blandine) Fabreville, Quebec; Ella (Gerald, deceased) Robinson, Woodland, Maine USA; Zenon (Zelma), Abram-Village; Stella (John) Hébert, Dieppe N.B.; Théona (John) Bertin, St. Stephen, N.B.; Sr. Juliette (Petite soeur de la Saint Faimille), Sherbrook, Quebec; Sylvère, St. Chrysostome; Yvonne (Desmond), Abram-Village; Jean Paul (Claire), St. Chrysostome; Eva (Clement) Boily, Montreal, Quebec; Peter (Stella), Abram-Village, Aurelle (Stella), Wellington; Dorothy (Gilles) Chouinard, St. Eusèbe, Quebec; and Diane (Louis) Richard, Mont-Carmel. Survived by sisters Madelaine Richard, Rita Draper and Thérèse Hashey. She is also survived by numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren. Predeceased by children Claude, Claudette, Gustave and André, also by brothers and sisters Ben, Amand, John, Augustin, Léo, Joseph, Peter, Brigiette and Norbert. Resting at Evangeline Co-op Funeral Home, Urbainville, until Wednesday, March 28, 2012, then to the St. Philippe and St. Jacques Church, Egmont Bay, for funeral mass at 10:30 a.m. Visitation to take place on Tuesday, March 27, from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Cremated remains will be interred in the church cemetery at a later date. At the request of the family donations to Le Chez-Nous or a charity of your choice would be greatly appreciated. Arrangements were entrusted to the Evangeline Co-op Funeral Home, Urbainville.
