Linda Richard

RICHARD, LINDA - It’s with great sadness we announce that Linda Richard, 60, of Saint-Antoine, passed away on April 25, 2012 in Halifax after a year long battle with leukemia. Born on June 28, 1951 in Sarnia, Ont., she was the daughter of the late Laurie and Maria (Williams) Cormier. Linda was a very generous and talented woman who had many hobbies that filled her life. If you ever had the pleasure of getting upholstery done from her, you know the quality and perfection of work she demonstrated. During her life, she sewed clothing, knitted, woodworked, got interested in photography, started reading with Oprah’s book club and never stopped. Her “pettes de soeurs” were legendary. And throughout all that, she was certain to spend as much time as possible with her family. Beloved wife of 40 years to her husband, Léandre; loving “Mame” to Danielle Arsenault (Paul) and Guy (Chantal), all of Saint-Antoine; chère “Line” to her grandchildren, Patrick and Yannick Richard; beloved sister to Colombe Cormier of Lakeville, Nancy Bastarache (Léo) of Saint-Maurice, Lita Cormier (Bébé) and Ronnie Cormier (Brenda), both of Saint-Antoine; many sisters, brothers-in-law, aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins will also mourn her passing.
As per her wishes, there will be no funeral service although the family will receive family and friends at Frenette Funeral Home, 88 Church Street, Moncton (858-1900) on Sunday, April 29, 2012 from 2 to 4 p.m. In memory of Linda, a contribution to the Friends of the Moncton Hospital Foundation would be appreciated. www.frenettefuneralhome.com
