IRVING-POSHTAR, EFFIE (O'CONNOR) - Effie Poshtar, 86, of Hamilton, Ontario passed away on June 27th, 2012 in the Hamilton Hospital. She was born in Edgett's Landing the daughter of the late William and Evangeline (Milton) O'Connor. Effie was a very special lady who will live on in the hearts of her family forever. She will be deeply missed by her Loving and devoted husband , Steve Poshtar of Hamilton, ON; two daughters, Brenda of BC and Sharon of NS; sister, Georgia Tower of Hillsborough; brothers, Curtis O'Connor (Joey) of Moncton and Joe O'Connor of Riverview. She will also be missed by several nieces and nephews.
Besides her parents she was predeceased by her first husband, Raymond Irving; son, Doug; sisters, Edna, Mary, Marie, Della and Phyllis ; brothers, Robert, Doyle, Phillip and King.
There will be no visitation or funeral service. Interment will be held in the Grey's Island Cemetery, Hillsborough, NB at a later date.
