It is with great sadness that the family of the late Rhoda Stewart announce her passing on Sunday, August 5, 2012 at her residence in Frenchman’s Cove at the age of 71 years. She leaves to mourn with fond and loving memories her husband of 56 years John Stewart; children: Katherine Morgan, Raymond Stewart, Wanda Murray (Paul), Laura Organ (John), Lisa Hackett (Chris), Cyril Stewart, Terry Stewart (Roseanne) and Robert Stewart (Lindsay); 17 grandchildren, 20 great-grandchildren; sisters: Mary White and Adelaide Osmond (Lemond); brothers: John White (Margie), David White (Geraldine), Calvin White (Kay), Thomas White and Rex White; sister-in-law Ada White; as well as a large circle of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. She was predeceased by her parents Felix and Melina White, son Wayne Stewart, son-in-law Philip Morgan, brother Martin White and sister-in-law Brenda White. Friends may visit Fillatre’s Funeral Home, 218 Curling Street on Tuesday from the hours of 2-4 & 7-9 p.m. Cremation to follow at Humber Valley Crematorium. A memorial service will be held on Thursday, August 9 at 2:00 p.m. from St. Ambrose Anglican Church, John’s Beach with Rev. Roberta Woodman officiating. As expressions of sympathy flowers graciously accepted or donations may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation.
