We are sad to announce the passing of our mother and grandmother, Patricia Anne Whipple.

She is survived by her daughters Sandra Mary Kakoske (Don) of Calgary, AB; Jennifer Melvina Whipple, grandchildren Sigourny Whipple-Grantham and Delton Whipple-Grantham, all of Whitehorse, Yukon and brother David Cottrell of Vernon, B.C.

She was predeceased by her husband James Whipple, father Maurice Cottrell, mother Mary Cottrell and brother John Cottrell.

Mom was born in Vancouver, grew up in Vancouver and various communities in the lower mainland. After many adventures around the world, Mom settled in Penticton in 1964 where she remained for the next 48 years.

A Celebration of Mom's life will be held at her home on August 14, 2012, starting at 2:00 p.m. All friends are welcome.
