OLIVE MAY ANN CARTER

OLIVE MAY ANN CARTER

Born: November 11th, 1934

Passed in: Penticton, British Columbia, Canada
Passed on: November 26th, 2012

Olive passed away after having family surrounding her to say goodbye at Penticton Regional Hospital.

Olive was married to her surviving husband, R.W. (Bill) at All Saints Church in Vancouver on October 19th, 1957 and is also survived by her son Stephen (Tania) of Penticton; daughters Hazel (Mitch) McKinney of Kamloops & Linda (Sean) Minaker of Kelowna. Also survived by grandchildren Elizabeth, Heather, Richard, Emily, Gordon, Ben, Quinn, Dylan and great grandchildren Landon, Deacon, Carter, Oliver & Marshal; brother Ken Wain of Tempe, Arizona and several nephews and nieces.

Olive's greatest passion is the musical voice, with herself having a great gift as a local soprano. After serving many years in the commercial section of Telus in Vancouver and Kamloops, she started teaching voice to the young and not so young. During her musical career, she gave many solo performances from funeral services to the professional stage and devoted much of her time to The Kamloops Festival of Performing Arts.

Olive has expressed a wish that her memories linger on and no final service be held.

A family gathering will be held at a later date to share and celebrate her life among us.

Special thanks to Dr. Greg Sellinger and the nursing staff of South Pavilion 300 North for their compassion and care.

Arrangements in care of Everden Rust Funeral Services, (250)493-4112. Those wishing to pay tribute with their memories may do so by visiting www.everdenrust.com
