Helen  Bryson

Bryson, Helen Margaret (Angus) - 86, Linden, Cumberland Co., passed away Friday, Feb. 8, 2013, at the East Cumberland Lodge, Pugwash, with her family by her side. Born July 18, 1926 in Shinimicas, she was a daughter of the late Maynard and Mary (Atkinson) Angus. Helen had lived most of her life in Linden before moving to Shinimicas and most recently had made East Cumberland Lodge her home. For a number of years she was employed at the Stanfield’s Plant in Oxford. Helen was a member of the Renwick United Church; the Renwick United Church Women and the Cumberland County Crafts. She enjoyed bowling, knitting, sewing, gardening (both vegetable and flower) and traveling, but her greatest joy and love was her family. Surviving are her daughter, Edith (Ronald) Wood, Lake Killarney; son, Ronald (Anna) Bryson, Shinimicas; daughter-in-law, Norma Bryson, Kingston; grandchildren, Lee (Jenn) Bryson; Tara (Rob) Lasseter; Mark (Theresa) Wood; Tanya (Matthew Mundle) Wood; Shaun (Molly Grindley) Bryson; Nicole (Brent Burke) Bryson; Matthew (Katherine Banks) Bryson and Katrina Bryson; 11 great-grandchildren; brothers, Albert (Mildred) Angus and Jamie (Emma) Angus; sisters, Grace (Russell) MacDonald; Della MacNeil and Mildred Hall; several nieces and nephews. Besides her parents she was predeceased by her husband, William Henry Bryson; son, Richard Bryson; brother, Harold Angus; sisters, Hazel Prescott and Marion Smith. Visitation will be held from 7-9 pm, Tuesday, Feb 12, with the funeral service at 2 pm Wednesday, Feb. 13, both in Mundle’s Funeral Home, 204 Water St., Pugwash (243-2506). Ruth Gamble officiating. In lieu of flowers donations in memory may be made to the Renwick United Church Cemetery, East Cumberland Lodge or any charity.
