SIMMONS, RONALD - The death of Ronald Lloyd Simmons happened on April 19, 2013 at the Dr. Everett Chalmers Regional Hospital; he was 70. Born to the late Arthur and Annie Simmons in Bishop's Falls, NL on June 23, 1942. Ron is survived by his partner, Ida; son, Danny (Tammy); daughter, Gail (Alistair); sisters, Beatrice (Reg) Bridger, May (Ray) Lane, Ruth (Joe) Walsh and Eleanor Butt; brothers, Steve (Rose), Eric (Christine); sister-in-law, Lola Simmons; grandchildren, Jessica (Brad) Pye, Ryan MacAllister (Lindsay), Jason (Alicia) and Lindsey Simmons; great-grandchildren, Jameson, Avalynn, and Bailee. He was predeceased by his sister, Rose; and his brother, Bill. Ron will be remembered by his love of life; he enjoyed everything about nature and his family.
The family would like to thank Dr. Debra Gowan in Palliative Care, as well as the nurses and staff of 3E. They would also like to say a special thank you to the staff of 3W Oncology - Dr. Raza, Dr. Broad and Dr. Swan especially. Respecting Ron’s wishes, there will be no services.
