Justin Reginald Mykel Keddy
September 2, 1986 – May 11, 2013. It is with deep sadness the family of Justin Keddy announces his sudden passing following an automobile accident on Saturday, May 11, 2013 near Slave Lake, Alberta. Justin lived life to the fullest, and always plunged head first into any challenges he was presented with. Born in Wolfville, Nova Scotia, and after a brief stint in Saskatchewan, he ended up in Alberta in 1999. Justin attended school at Fairview High School, Rycroft Elementary and Central Peace High School. Justin spent his early working days farming and trucking locally before choosing a career in the oil patch. Justin enjoyed dirt bikes, anything mechanical, driving, working, food and cooking. Justin will be remembered in the community as someone who was always willing to lend a helping hand and make people smile. Left to cherish his memory are his mother Carolyn, sister Katelynn, father Kevin, as well as his grandparents, aunts, uncles, cousins, and many cherished friends. Justin was predeceased by his grandfather Laurie Porter Sr., his Aunt Judy Porter; and Uncles Reginald and Gregory Porter. The Funeral Service was held on Friday, May 17, 2013 at 1:00pm at People’s Church in Grande Prairie (11850 108 St.). In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to a trust fund for two special little girls in Justin’s life – Nikki Getz and Jordyn Scott.
