NEW GLASGOW – Eleanor “Muriel” Foote of Frederick St., New Glasgow, passed away July 14 in Abilene, Texas.
Born in North Bloomfield, Pictou County, she was a daughter of the late Burton and Olive (MacIntosh) Fraser.
Muriel was a resident of New Glasgow since 1997, previously residing in Woodfield and French River. She was a member First Presbyterian Church, New Glasgow and the former French River Presbyterian Church where she was a member of the choir. She was also a member of the Thorburn Seniors Club.
She is survived by daughters Sharon Cameron, New Glasgow; Olivia King, Texas; son Darryl, Sutherland’s River; grandchildren: Wanda, Steven, Shawn, Robbie, Kierra, Jadeyn; great-grandchildren: Shae, Trish, Cheyenne, Kenli, Brieanna, Brandon; great-great-grandsons Tristan and Tyler; brother Brian Fraser, Woodfield; special family member Eddy Rhyno.
She was predeceased by a sister Joyce MacMillan and brother Ellsworth Fraser.
Visitation will be from 7-9 p.m. Sunday and 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Monday in the H.W. Angus Funeral Home, New Glasgow. Funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday from the H.W. Angus Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Dr. Glen Matheson officiating. Burial will be in the Telford Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers donations in memory of Muriel may be made to the Telford Cemetery.
