Age 50, of Halifax, passed away October 4, 2013, in QEII Health Sciences Centre. Born in Sackville, N.B., he was the son of Gerald and Katherine (Jones) Hannah of Sackville, N.B. Besides his parents he is survived by his wife, April (Hohoff), daughter, Kirsten, sister, Olwyn (Alan) Walter of Halifax, parents-in-law, Dieter and Donna Hohoff of Mount Pearl, brother-in-law, Uwe (Lisa) Hohoff of Phoenix, Ariz., nephews: Kai and Lukas Hohoff, Henry Walter; nieces: Robyn and Carolyn Walter; and many extended family members. David had a long career in Information Technology most recently with Capital Health of Halifax. Families meant the world to David, both his home family and his work family. The love and support he received from these families gave him the strength needed to bear the challenges faced in the past year. The home family wishes to thank the following for their kind help and support: Dr. Wieder, Dr. Morzycki; all the Cancer Care team at Capital Health; Sacred Heart School of Halifax; and all friends and colleagues, especially Cathy and Neil. Cremation has taken place and internment is to occur at a later date.
