GLENN, VERNA MAY - It is with deepest sorrow and great sadness we announce the passing of Verna May Glenn - born May 30, 1934 - daughter of the late Carl and Beatrice (Murray) Hopkins at the Dr. Everett Chalmer's Hospital on January 11, 2014. She is survived by sons Martin (Florence) of Bridgewater, NS, Dennis (Stacie); stepson, Kirkland (Gwen) of Chipman NB; daughter Caroline (George) Bailey of Maquapit Lake, NB, and sisters Mary (Howard) Lemon, Ruth (Bill) Sommerville, Dorothy Chase, Faye Scott, Ruby Anderson; grandchildren, Chelsea, Jonathan, Melody, John, Nicole, Chris and Roxanne; sister-in-laws, Vivian MacLean, Edna Hopkins; several nieces and nephews; a special friend, Bruin. Predeceased by husband John Glenn, daughter Bonnie Glenn-Bailey and son Lionel Glenn; brothers Murray, Goldie and Charlie Hopkins; brother-in-laws, Harold Chase, Ernie Scott, Daryl Anderson; sisters Myrtle (Almon) Burpee, Murina (Archie) Laskey and Hazel Hopkins; grandson, Bret Glenn.
Visitation will be held Tuesday January 14, from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 PM at the Chipman Funeral Home (339-6612). Funeral service will take place at the Chipman United Church on January 15, at 12:00 PM with Rev. Dennis Sisco officiating. Interment will be at a later date.
