The death occurred quietly and peacefully at the Prince Edward Home, Charlottetown, on Thursday, November 20, 2008, of Marion Gallant, beloved wife of the late Justin Gallant, of North Rustico, age 83. Marion was the loving mother of Lori (Harold) Edwards and adoring grandmother of Sarah and Mya, all of Rustico. She will be fondly remembered by her brother, Paul (Bernice) Gallant, Charlottetown and numerous nieces and nephews. Besides her husband, Justin, Marion was predeceased by her parents Robert and Laura (Peters) Gallant; her brothers, Emmett (Gertrude), Lawrence (Louise), Earl (Stella) and Leo; and sisters, Annie Mae (Herb) Vickers, Jean (Vince) Coffin, Lucy and Margaret; and her well-loved nephew, Pius (Anne) Gallant. Resting in the McNeill Room of Stella Maris Roman Catholic Church, North Rustico, for visitation on Sunday, November 23, 2008, from 2- p.m. to 5 p.m. Funeral mass will be celebrated at Stella Maris Roman Catholic Church, North Rustico, on Monday, November 24, 2008, at 11 a.m. Interment in Stella Maris Cemetery. The ladies auxiliary of the Royal Canadian Legion, Branch # 13, will hold a service of remembrance after the funeral mass. Due to severe allergies, please refrain from wearing scented objects.
