Daniel Alphoncis (Fonce) Theriault

A loving family man and devoted husband, Daniel Alphoncis (Fonce) Theriault passed away in his 94th year on Feb. 16, 2014, at Ste. Anne’s Veterans Hospital.
He was predeceased by Marjorie, his adored wife of 66 years.
He will be sadly missed by his children, Daniel Jr. (Suzanne Pronovost), David (Napattra Sritawat), Katherine (Paul Harris) and John (Melanie Poulin) and all of his grandchildren. He is survived by one sister, Gertrude (Gertie) Devoe of Sydney.
He proudly served his country in the Second World War as a soldier of the 19th Regiment that saw one of the first landings on the beaches of Normandy. After many years with Ontario Hydro, he built a successful business in Glengarry County.
In later years he could frequently be found on a golf course, doing woodwork or entertaining guests at their Cape Breton B&B. He will be remembered and cherished for his great love of family, his wonderful story telling and remarkable sense of humour.

At his request, a private ceremony was held for his immediate family in Montreal, Que.
