The death occurred peacefully and surrounded by her loving family at the Prince County Hospital, Summeride, on Friday, May 16, 2014, of Katheryn Marie Noonan (nee MacInnis) of Borden-Carleton, aged 91 years. Katheryn was born on March 6, 1923, in Borden to her late parents William and Sophia (nee Carruthers) MacInnis. Beloved wife of the late Leo Noonan and loving mother of Dianne (Mitch) Kennedy, Darryl (Mary), Barb (Ralph) Hudson, Sharon Noonan, Heather (Milton) Coles, Desi (Nicole), Paul (Karen), Terry (Roberta), Marlene Noonan and Gary (Anna). Also lovingly remembered by many grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. Besides her husband and parents, Katheryn was predeceased by her grandson Matthew, brothers and sisters: Margaret, Louisa, Charles, Harry, Frederick, Alice (Siddie), Anne, Eliza, Leland, Phyllis, Lu and Madeline. Resting at the East Prince Funeral Home, 245 Pope Rd., Summerside, until Tuesday, May 20, then to St. Peter's Church, Seven Mile Bay, for a funeral mass at 11:30 a.m. Interment to take place in the church cemetery. Memorial donations in Katheryn's memory to the Prince County Hospital Foundation would be greatly appreciated. Visiting hours on Monday 2­4 and 7­9 p.m. Members of the Royal Canadian Legion, Branch #10, Borden-Carleton will hold a service of remembrance at the funeral home on Monday evening at 6:45 p.m.
