SOLLOWS, LEOLA - Leola Sollows of Grand Digue passed away peacefully at The Moncton Hospital on June 25, 2014, at the age of 91. Born in Tiverton, NS, December 23, 1922, she was the daughter of the late Sidney and Nellie (Clifford) Guier. Leola was predeceased by her husband Melvin Sollows in 1999. She is survived by her son, Wally (Fran) Sollows, Linda (Tony) Sharpe and Cheryl (Jim) Power. She is also survived by her grandchildren; Dan (Karen) Jeffery, Candace (Bill) Young, Amy Power, three great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. Leola will also be missed by her loving “family” at Le P’tit Chez Nous, Pat and her wonderful staff. Aside from her parents and husband, Leola was predeceased by her sister Lorna Clerke. Leola was a homemaker who especially loved to sew, knit and crochet. She enjoyed the Armed Forces life, camping trips and had a passion for reading.
In keeping with her wishes there will be no visitation. The family will be having a graveside service at a later date in Fair Haven Memorial Gardens. Donations in Leola’s memory may be made to a charity of the donor’s choice.
