The death occurred peacefully at the Prince County Hospital, Summerside, on Wednesday, August 6, 2014, of Mary “Marcella” Blacquiere (nee Maddix) of St. Nicholas, aged 61 years. Born in Summerside, she was the daughter of the late Cyrus and Eva (nee Perry) Maddix. Beloved wife of Harold Blacquiere and loving mother of Sarah Hamilton (Travis) of Edmonton, Alberta, and Adam Blacquiere (Kate Mallett) of Summerside. Also lovingly remembered by her grandchildren Caylee and Cody Hamilton and a new grandson due in the fall. Besides her parents, Marcella was predeceased by her infant daughter Christine, brothers Raymond, Ernest and her in-laws Harold and Anna (nee Warner) Blacquiere. Resting at the East Prince Funeral Home, 245 Pope Rd., Summerside until Monday, Aug. 11, then to St. John the Baptist Church, Miscouche, for a funeral mass at 10:30 a.m. Interment to take place in the church cemetery. Memorial donations to the Alzheimer Society or the St. John the Baptist Cemetery Fund would be greatly appreciated.
