"Richard" Earl Gallant passed away peacefully in his 67th year at his home in Thunder Bay, Ont., on Nov. 9, 2014, with his family at his side. He was the son of the late Ernest and Melina (Richard) Gallant and stepfather Vernon Gallant. Survived by his loving wife Gail and children David (Yvonne), Shawn (Wendy) and Jodi (Clifford) and grandchildren, Hayley, Ben, Jorja, Andrew, and Emily. Also brothers and sisters, Rena Gaudet (Robert Millar) Bideford, P.E.I., Donald (Brenda) Summerside, P.E.I., Lynn O'Hearn (Fred) Halifax, N.S., Mike (Heather) Summerside, P.E.I. Also his inlaws Alan and Lorraine Smith Thunder Bay, and mother-in-law Marjorie Henry of Winnipeg Man. Also aunts and uncle Leo and Eva Richard and Sophie Richard and numerous nephews nieces and cousins. Besides his parents he was predeceased by Wendy (Smith), mother of the children. Cremation to take place in Thunder Bay. No funeral by personal request. If desired donations can be made to the Kidney Foundation in Richard's memory.
