At the Western Hospital, Alberton, on Friday, Nov. 14, 2014, with her loving family by her side, of Wendy Arlene Gallant, beloved wife of Danny Gallant of Elmsdale, age 49 years. Born in Toronto, Ont., on July 27, 1965, she was the cherished daughter of Archie and Beverly (Ortwein) Rayner of Elmsdale. Loving mother to Vanessa, Chris (Meagan Rayner), Bradley (Aricca Fraser), Emmalee and Katie. Dear sister to Janice (Kevin) Hancock of Mississauga, Ontario. She is also survived by her mother-in-law Velma (late Albert) Gallant of Alberton, as well as brothers and sister-in-laws: Donat Gallant, Junior (Vickie) Gallant, Wayne (Patricia) Gallant, Kevin Gallant (April Butler), Cory Gallant, Sandy (Grant) MacCollum. Caring aunt to Melissa, Kaleigh and Devin Hancock, Chad Gallant, Melissa (Korie) Williams, Tanner and Selena MacCollum, Paiton and Flora Jane Gallant, Logan and Lukas Adams, and by great nieces and nephews, Dylan, Dakota, Cohen and Sophia Williams. She was predeceased by her grandparents, George and Helen Rayner and Henry and Ada Ortwein. Resting at the Rooney Funeral Home, Alberton. Visiting hours were Sunday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Funeral on Monday from the Alberton Baptist Church, for funeral service at 2 p.m., Pastor Ross Morrison officiating. Interment in the Baptist Cemetery Greenmount. Following the interment at the Baptist cemetery, there will be a reception in the Church Hall. As an expression of sympathy, memorials to Alberton Baptist Church Building Fund or to Katie and Emmalee in trust would be gratefully appreciated.
