Stella was the second of five children. Predeceased by her younger siblings Richard, Claire and Madeleine, she is survived by her older brother Paul and sister-in-law Jeanne, as well as nieces and nephews Pierre, Christine, Michel, Lucie, Micheline, Jean and extended family, all residing in Québec.
Stella worked as a psychiatric social worker for almost 40 years (25 years at Riverview Hospital). She came to Prince Rupert in 1954 and worked in many remote locations. Often travelling by float plane, she met and married her husband Jack – a bush pilot – and had two children. Stella was predeceased by her husband and older son Philippe, and is survived by her younger son Paul.
Stella retired to Sechelt in 1987. She was never happier than when she was pursuing a wide range of interests including travelling, cooking, sewing, knitting, weaving and many other domestic pursuits. She volunteered with Save the Children and the Sechelt Seniors’ Centre, and was also very active politically, helping to organize many provincial and federal election campaigns in the area. 
Here’s hoping there’s enough to keep her busy in the next life!

A memorial service will be held at the Devlin Funeral Home in Gibsons on Saturday, February 7, 2015 at 1:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, please forward donations to the St. Mary’s Hospital Auxiliary.
