The death occurred peacefully at the Prince County Hospital, Summerside, surrounded by friends on Saturday, Jan. 17, 2009, of Stanley Everett Wilson of Summerside, age 88 years, veteran of the Second World War. Loving husband of the late Anges (nee MacDonald) Wilson. Born in Turtle Creek, Albert County, N.B., on Dec. 27, 1921, he was the son of the late John Hartley and Blanche (nee Patterson) Wilson. Dear father to John (Margaret) Wilson,Wayne (Beth) Wilson and Billy (Carol) Wilson all of Pine Glen, N.B. He is survived by his brother, Everett (Anette) Wilson, Moncton, N.B., and by a sister, Margaret Carson, of Kitchener Ont., and by a sister-in-law, Lois Wilson, of Riverview N.B. several grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews. He well be sadly missed by his special friends, Francine Gallant, Nellie Boyles, Marge Wilson and Leonard and Carol Gallant. He was predeceased by his first wife, Anne Stewart Hunter of England, son, Raymond, a brother, Kenneth Wilson of Riverview, N.B. sister, Hilda, and her husband, Eddie Ryan of Ontario. Resting at the Rooney Funeral Home, Alberton. Visiting hours were Sunday from 6 to 9 p.m. Funeral on Monday afternoon from the funeral home with funeral service at 2 pm. Rev. Cathy Pharo officiating. Interment later to take place in St. Peters Anglican Church Cemetery, Alberton. Commrades from St. Anthony’s Branch of the Royal Canadian Legion will hold a service of remembrance at the funeral home Sunday evening at 6:45 p.m. If so desired memorials to the Canadian Cancer Society would be gratefully appreciated.
