Suddenly at his late residence, on Tuesday, March 17, 2015, of Donald Theriault of 280 Church Street, Tignish, age 84 years. Beloved husband of the late Albertina (nee Gaudet) Theriault. Born at Grand Anse, N.B., on Dec. 23, 1930, he was the son of the late Daniel H. and Justine (nee Landry) Theriault. He is survived by his sister, Alvina Theriauilt of Grand Anse, N.B., as well as brother and sisters-in-law: Freda (late Roy) Perry of St. Felix; Lorne (Beth) Gaudet of Charlottetown; Marie MacDonald of Tignish; Kay (late John) Roseland of Ontario; Louise (Bob) Scrimgeour of Montreal; Jan Frances of Charlottetown; Diane Sequin of Montreal; Yolande Cheverie of Quebec. He was predeceased by a brother, Theobald, and by a sister Alda. He was also predeceased by brothers and a sister-in-law: Sonny Gaudet, Billy (late Joan) Gaudet and Frances Gaudet. Resting at the Rooney Funeral Home, Alberton. Visiting hours Friday 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Funeral on Saturday morning from St. Simon and St. Jude Church, Tignish, for funeral mass at 10:30 a.m. Interment later in the Church cemetery. As an expression of sympathy, memorials to the Tignish Fire Department or to St. Simon and St. Jude Building Fund would be gratefully appreciated. The Rev. M.J. Rooney Council #7791 of the Knights of Columbus will hold a prayer vigil at the funeral home Friday evening at 6:45 p.m.
