It is with saddened hearts we announce the passing of a beloved son, brother, father and husband.
With those he loved by his side, Clem’s journey with cancer was fierce but brief.
As a young man, like so many others, Clem travelled to Western Canada where he enjoyed a long and successful career with Esso Canada. Many years were spent in Calgary Alta. before relocating to Winnipeg Man. A final relocation after retirement found Clem living in the beautiful Okanagan valley, a place where he enjoyed the natural beauty of the landscape, the warm climate, and the company of good friends.
He is survived by his wife, Barb; his mother, Ruby; sons, Clem Jr., Ray (Maggie) and daughter, Carlene (Joe). Also surviving are his stepchildren, Darrell, Darcy and Michelle (Darcy), five grandchildren, three great-grandchildren; his sister, Ruth (Eddie), several nieces and nephews also by many wonderful friends on both coasts.
Clem was predeceased by his father, Stewart; brother, Raymond and his mother-in-law, Winnie.
We wish to express our sincerest of thanks and gratitude to the health care team both in hospital and hospice who took such great care to provide comfort and support at such a difficult time.
In keeping with Clem’s wishes there will not be a service. Cremation has taken place, in keeping with his final request remains will be laid to rest in Sydney with his father and brother at a later date.
