The death occurred at the Maplewood Manor, Alberton on Wednesday, April 1, 2015, of Arnold J. Gaudet, formerly of Tignish aged 83 years. He was born in Skinners Pond on June 18, 1931, the son of the late Alphonse and Ethel (Arsenault) Gaudet. Dear father to JoAnn (Wayne) Gaudet, St. Felix; Donna (Kris) Gaudet, Richmond, B.C.; Debbie (Patrick/Pappy) Gallant, Miminegash; Janice (Lenny) Lachnit, Niagara Falls; Blair (Marcella) Gaudet, Tignish; Dale (Faye) Gaudet, St. Felix; and Rene (Michelle) Gaudet, Nail Pond. Loving grandfather to 15 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren. He was predeceased by his parents Alphonse and Ethel, sons Alden and Randy, mother of his children Evelyn, brothers and sisters Clifford, James, Major, Violet and Vera. Resting at the West Prince Funeral Home, Palmer Road, for visiting hours Friday 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Funeral service will be held Saturday, April 4, 2015 at St. Simon and St. Jude Church, Tignish, at 10:30 a.m. Memorial donations to Maplewood Manor Residents Equipment Fund or Dementia Society would be greatly appreciated.
