Bernie Christenson
Albert Bernard “Bernie” Christenson passed away with family by his side on January 1, 2015, at Fort Saskatchewan, Alberta, at the age of 89 years. He was born July 7, 1925 at Hallonquist, Saskatchewan. Bernie was the loving husband and best friend of Berniece (nee Doll) for 69 years. He was the brother of Joann Woods and was predeceased by his parents Olga and Albert Christenson. Bernie was the father of Maggie (Jim) Mumm of Shellbrook, Saskatchewan, Carolyn (Randy) Qualle of Calgary, Alberta, Andrew (Connie) Christenson of Edmonton, Alberta, Glen (Karen) Christenson of Fort Saskatchewan, Alberta and Leroy (Alice) Christenson of Qualicum Beach, British Columbia. He was the proud Grandfather of nine. Bernie was a storyteller, loving family man and a friend to all. Funeral Mass will be held on Saturday, May 16, 2015, at 1:00 p.m., at St. Joseph Roman Catholic Church, Vanguard, SK. Interment will take place at the Vanguard Cemetery. Memorial donations in memory of Bernie may be made to the Canadian Lung Association, 1231 8th St. E., Saskatoon, SK S7H 0S5.
