Murphy, Joseph George (1932-2015)- Joe passed away at the North Bay Regional Health Centre on Monday May 4th , 2015 at the age of 82 years. He was the beloved husband of 22 years to Ruth Nielsen. Also survived by 2 step-children Jason Mac Isaac (Cathleen) and Melissa Mac Isaac. Dear brother of Isabel (Russell Mathiews predeceased), Elaine (John Boeulhouser predeceased), James Murphy ( Emily) and Jean Muttart (Ken), and several nieces and nephews. Predeceased by his brothers Edward and Walter Murphy and a sister-in-law Betty. After retirement from John Mansville and the North Bay Psychiatric Hospital Joe enjoyed spending many hours in his workshop playing crib, socializing, reading and woodworking. Family receiving friends at HILLSIDE FUNERAL SERVICES, on Thursday May 7th from 2 until 4 pm and 6 until 8 pm. A celebration of his life will be held on Friday May 8th, 2015 at the funeral home at 11 am. Interment of Joe’s cremated remains will be in Freetown, P.E.I.
