BOYLE, JAMES E.
James "Jim" Boyle of Nepean, Ontario, passed away suddenly at home on May 9, 2015. Jim was the husband of Ann (Ronan) Boyle for 51 years. Born in Saint John on December 4, 1938, son of the late Frank L. and Kathleen (Lydon) Boyle.
Jim was a graduate of St. Malachy’s High School, St. Francis Xavier University with a Bachelor of Arts and a Master of Social Work from the Maritime School of Social Work (Dalhousie University). Jim served in the Naval Reserves stationed in Saint John and Halifax. He worked for the Province of New Brunswick as a social worker, and then for many years for the Federal Government in the Department of Manpower and Immigration in Halifax and Ottawa. Jim always enjoyed his visits with friends and family.
Besides his wife, he is survived by his sister Helen (Andy) Hamilton of Milton, Massachusetts brothers Jack (Alice) of Rothesay, New Brunswick, Pat (Ann) of Glace Bay, Nova Scotia, and sister-in-law Anna Boyle of Saint John, New Brunswick. He will also be dearly missed by many nieces, nephews and extended family.
Besides his parents, Jim was predeceased by his brother F. Dennis (Denny) Boyle and nephew Mark Hamilton.
His funeral took place at St. John the Apostle Roman Catholic Church, in Nepean on May 21, 2015. A Mass for the intention of Jim will be celebrated on Saturday, June 20, 2015, at 5 p.m. at the Cathedral of Immaculate Conception.
