Clifford Havervold

Cliff Havervold age 84 years of Frontier, Saskatchewan died on Friday, July 17, 2015 at the Cypress Regional Hospital in Swift Current, Saskatchewan following a lengthy illness.

He was born at Bracken, Saskatchewan on August 11, 1930 and lived with his parents in the Rosefield district. He started school in Grove Valley School and when the school closed in 1940, he went to Rosefield School. In 1943 he moved with his family to the Ridgely district north of Frontier and completed his High School at Ridgely School. Cliff went out to see other parts of the country and ended up in Alberta working in various places. In 1951, he decided to go farming after his parents retired from the farm and moved into Frontier and Cliff continued to farm north of Frontier in the Ridgely district. He enjoyed hunting and calling coyotes. He was actively involved with the Frontier Senior Citizens, and also enjoyed curling and bowling.

He was predeceased by his parents Paul and Veronica Havervold, his brothers and sisters Lloyd, Verna McNaught, Kenneth and Diana Miller.

He is survived by Dianne Nerada and her family, his sisters and brothers Irene Heggestad (Norman) of Frontier, Gordon of Frontier, Robert of Duchess, Alberta, Delores Vasseur (Edward) of Medicine Hat, David (Mia) of Toronto, Dale (Geraldine) of Red Deer, as well as by numerous nieces and nephews.

Funeral Services were held on Tuesday, July 21, 2015 at 2:00 p.m. from Bethel Lutheran Church in Frontier with Funeral Celebrant Bernadette Schneider officiating. Interment of his cremated remains took place at Ridgely Cemetery at Frontier. Special music was by Renee Havervold. The Urn Bearer was Kole Raketi. Binkley’s Funeral Service of Shaunavon (www.Binkleys.com) was in charge of the arrangements.
