It is with great sadness that the family of the late Beatrice Lorraine (Legge) Hicks announce her passing on January 11, 2016, in Prince George, B.C. Beatrice was born April 28, 1942 in Deer Lake, Newfoundland. Left to mourn are daughter Marina Broessler (Michael) and their sons; son Kevin (Michelle) and daughters; son Jerry (Michelle): her sisters Pearl, Jean, Ruby, Deborah and brother Eric, her late husband's siblings and their spouses and children who were close to her, as well as nieces, nephews and friends. Beatrice was predeceased by her husband Kevin 2006, father Isaac Legge 1992 and mother Jessie, nee Dinney, 1999. As soon as she was old enough, Beatrice was babysitter for the neighbours. After marriage and the arrival of her three children, she developed new interests. Cooking and baking were her favourites, to the point where, later on, she was cook for many years at the Prince George Correctional Centre where she was known as "Miss Bea." During quiet time, she crocheted gifts for family members and loved playing crib with Kevin. There was always music in the home. Kevin played his guitar and Beatrice loved to sing along.
