We, the family of the late Caroline “Carrie” Thorne, who passed away March 12, 2016, would like to express a sincere thank you to Dr. Lawand and the doctors at the Pier Medical Clinic, the Nurses and staff of 4D, and the Palliative Care unit of the CBRH; for your exceptional care of Carrie during her brief illness and to all our family and friends who visited her during this time and to Linday for coming to be with Carrie and the family when we needed you. . To all our family, friends and neighbours who sent food, sympathy cards, memorial cards, monetary gifts, messaged, and visited with us during our time of mourning, thank you. Special thank you to Majors Kent and Dena Hipditch Salvation Army, Sydney Corp. for your visit, support and prayers and the beautiful service you provided Carrie for her Celebration of Life. To the Pallbearers; Todd McSavaney, Ryan McSavaney, Jason MacKinnon, George Head, James Head, Dave Quigley. To Jane Curry for the Eulogy, you knew her well. Thank you to the organist and the congregation for the beautiful hymns, Carrie, would have been overwhelmed by send off. Special thanks to the Home League Ladies for the beautiful lunch provided after the service. Thank you to William Laurie and his staff of the Pier Community Funeral Home for the courteous and professional manner they handle Carrie’s wake. To all those who attended the church service some who traveled a great distance to say their final farewell to “Aunt Carrie” thank you for your support-we will always remember your kindness.
