But we know it isn't so,
Because it hurts as much today,
As it did fifteen years ago.

Gone is the face we loved so dear,
Silent the voice we loved to hear,
No one knows the sorrow we bear,
When the family meets and you're not there.

To hear your voice and see your smile,
To sit with you and talk a while,
To be together in the same old way,
Would be our greatest wish today.
