It is with great sadness that the family of the late Jean Alma Pretty announce her passing at Western Memorial Regional Hospital on Wednesday, March 22, 2017 at the age of 88 years. She will be lovingly remembered by daughters: Barbara Lewis (David), Marilyn Pretty, Donna Burton and Sharon (Rhonda); sons: Keith (Cheryl) and Paul (Patrina); daughter-in-law Angela Pretty; sisters: Fern Burt (Gower), Faye Critch (Frank), Ruth Lariviere and Doreen Rideout (Ray); 12 grandchildren: Jason (Krista), Marika (Mike), Heather, Kyle (Justina), Robert (Carolyn), Jeffery (Lisa), Bradley (Gina), Adam (Amanda), Dylan, Shane, Kayla and Brent (Ashley); nine great-grandchildren: Chelsea, Bella, Jack, William, Samuel, Scott, Jared, Tyson and Jake; uncle Don Watkins (Irene) and very close cousin Woodrow James (Irene); as well as a large circle of nieces, nephews, other family members and friends. She was predeceased by her husband Robert Pretty 1986; sons: Albert, Floyd and Robert Jr.; son-in-law Charlie Burton; parents Willis Watkins and Blanche Wheeler. In keeping with Jean's wishes, cremation has taken place. Friends may visit Country Haven Funeral Home and Chapel, 167 Country Road on Saturday, March 25, 2017 from 2-4 & 7-9 p.m., from where the funeral service will take place on Sunday, March 26, 2017 at 2 p.m. with Major Frank Johnson officiating. Interment will follow at Mt. Patricia Cemetery. As expressions of sympathy, in lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Salvation Army Church Fund.
