Joseph Andrew LeBlanc of St. Martins, devoted husband for 44 years of Barbara (Mannett) LeBlanc passed away Wednesday, February 24, 2010, surrounded by his loving family at the Saint John Regional Hospital. Born 1945 to the late Andre and Eugenie (Richard) LeBlanc. Joe was a woods contractor for many years and for the past 20 he worked for the Department of Transportation. He was looking forward to retiring. Devoted husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, brother, uncle and friend. He was a member of St. Williams Catholic Church. Joe loved the outdoors; he enjoyed gardening, fishing and walks with his dog. He was a master handyman and was always working on projects. Besides his loving wife Barb, Joe is survived by his girls Dawn Marie Allaby (Peter) of Fredericton, Danna Foster (Steve) of Edmonton, AB, Teena Fry (Chris) of Sussex and Darcy Hutchison (Ian) of St. Martins; two brothers James (Linda) and Edward (Jane) both of St. Martins; six sisters Marguerite Marley of Saint John, Annie Robichaud of Cocagne, Doreen Boucher (Clarence) of Richibucto Cape, Denisa Richard (Al) of Salt Springs, Claudia Thibodeau (Lawrence) of Willow Grove and Jeannie LeBlanc of Saint John; ten precious grandchildren Jessica (Randy), Joey, Katy, Brendan, Courtney, Ashley, Bailey, Colten, Jake and Ava and one precious great-grandson Anthony; several nieces, nephews and many friends. Besides his parents Joe was predeceased by his brothers Raymond, Billy and Leo.
Resting at the Fundy Funeral Home 230 Westmorland Rd. with visitation on Thursday and Friday from 2-4 & 7-9 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated from St. Williams Catholic Church on Saturday February 27, 2010 at 2:00 p.m.. Private family interment to take place at St. Williams Cemetery . Donations in memory of Joe can be made to St. Williams Church or to the charity of the donor’s choice.
