New Glasgow – Charles William Armsworthy age 91 of Grant Street, New Glasgow passed away on Friday, October 26, 2007 in the Aberdeen Hospital, New Glasgow. Born in New Glasgow he was a son of the late Charles Howard and Ella May (Wilcox) Armsworthy. Charles lived most of his life in New Glasgow. He was a veteran of World War II, working at New Glasgow Steel Furnishings for some time he later went on to work at Hawker Siddley from where he retired. Charles was a member of the Blair Presbyterian Church, Garden of Eden. Surviving are his wife the former Henrietta Martell, A daughter Ida Mae (Michael) Riley of Cambridge Hants Co. Sons: Charles Howard (Linda) of Guelph Ont., Robert David (Ann) of Sydney, James William (Bill) of Orleans Ont., Roderick “Buckley” (Nancy) of Dartmouth, seven grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren, a sister Hazel Brooks of New Glasgow. He was predeceased by a brother Carl and a sister Evelyn Miller and a granddaughter Lisa. His remains will rest in the H.W.Angus Funeral Home for visitation from 2-4 and 7-9 P.M. on Tuesday. Funeral service will be held at 2 P.M. Wednesday. from the funeral home chapel with Rev. Calvin Creighton officiating. Burial will be in the Garden of Eden Cemetery. Family flowers only please.
