WARD, F.H. (BUD) CAPT. Mr. F.H. "Bud" age 77, of 115 Greenwood Drive, Stratford, passed away unexpectedly at the Stratford General Hospital on Thursday, April 17, 2003. Born in Logan Township son of the late Harold and Margaret (Dewing) Ward. Floyd was an Officer of the Armed Forces until 1973 and then was the chief accounting officer for the Department of Education for the province of New Brunswick for 15 years, retiring in 1988. He was a member of the Officers Mess, the Royal Canadian Legion Branch #8, the seniors' curing league at the Stratford Country club and was an avid fisherman and outdoorsman. Beloved husband of Marjorie (Pflance) whom he married April 30, 1945. Loving father and grandfather of David F. Ward and wife Christine of Fergus and their sons Matthew and Andrew and Patricia Anne and her husband Gordon Watson of London and their daughters Alanna, Sarah and Erica. Dear brother of Marion Smith of Moncton, Ronald Ward of British Columbia, Marjorie and husband Orville Thiel of Stratford, Douglas Ward and wife Elizabeth of Logan Township, Gary Ward of British Columbia and Marilyn and husband George Nichol or Wroxeter. Also survived by brothers-inlaw, sisters-in-law, nieces and nephews. Predeceased by one son John Murray Ward in 1947. Friends and relatives may call at the W.G. Young Funeral Home, 430 Huron Street, Stratford on Sunday, April 20 from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. The funeral service will be held at Parkview United Church on Monday at 3 p.m. Rev. Judith Ritchie will officiate. Interment in Avondale Cemetery. As expressions of sympathy, memorial donations may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society or to the charity of one's choice through the funeral home.
