MACNEIL, M. OLIVE The death of M. Olive MacNeil of Fredericton, wife of Hugh A. MacNeil occurred on Friday, June 13, 2003 at the Dr. Everett Chalmers Regional Hospital, Fredericton, NB. Born in Sydney, NS, she was a daughter of the late John Richard and Mary Elizabeth (MacNeil) Martin. Mrs. MacNeil was a homemaker in her own home. She is a member of the St. Theresa's Church, previous member of the C.W.L., Hospital Auxilary and Women's Aglow. She had an interest in square dancing. In addition to her husband of 61 years, she is survived by four daughters, Bonnie Eagan of Ottawa, ON, Brenda Noftell of Brunei, Darussalam, Ann MacNeil of Fredericton and Mary MacNeil of Thurold, ON; seven grandchildren, Jonathan Eagan, Tamara Arnold, Angela Firlotte, Stephanie Eagan, Jeremy Noftell, Stacey Arnold and Jennifer Noftell; two great grandchildren, Dominique Firlotte and Kate Noftell; and several nieces and nephews. Besides her parents, she was predeceased by two infant children, John Hugh and Judith Ann MacNeil; one sister, Vida Campbell; four brothers, Vince, Dr. Hugh, Elmer and Bernard Martin. Although there will be no visitation, a Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Monday, June 16 at a time to be decided, from St. Theresa's Roman Catholic Church, William Street, Fredericton with Father John Jennings as celebrant. Interment will follow in the St. Joseph's Cemetery, Saint John, NB. Personal condolences may be offered through www.yorkfh.com.
